TABS & GLOVES
A tab is a piece of leather that goes on your fingers to protect them from the rubbing of the string. For beginners we recommend a simple flat tab such as the A23M, made from cheap but real leather at £1.70. We stock this in mini (which is suitable only for small children), small, medium, and large, and in right and left hand.

We are now stocking a leather glove in the old style, which is three finger tips connected by straps to a wrist band. These should appeal to re-enactment archers because they have no elastic or Velcro in them. The wrist band closes with metal press-studs, but we can alter them so that they can be closed with leather thonging. A small part of the press-stud will still be on the glove, but this will not be visible in use. We stock them in small, medium, large, and extra large at £10.95 each, or £12.75 with the thong fixing. If you order one we ask that you try it on and decide whether or not you want to keep it before you pull a bowstring, which would leave a line across the fingers and make the glove second-hand.
