| FEATHER FLETCHINGS |
| 2¾" (7cm) SHIELD (not illustrated). We have these in just two colours, red and pink, but they are RIGHT WING, unlike our other fletchings, which are all left-wing. They are ideal for childrens' arrows or club arrows, but they should not be used with any of our left-wing fletchings. We are offering these at 60p per dozen, less than they cost us, but when they have gone they will be gone for good. | |
| 3" SHIELD in white, black,yellow, red, orange & blue, £1.60 doz. | ![]() |
| 4" PARABOLIC in white, black, yellow, red, green, orange & blue, £3.10 per dozen. | ![]() |
Parabolic can be changed to Shield by a simple method on our Helpful Hints and clicking on "How to make Wooden Arrows | ![]() |
| 5" SHIELD For that special medieval look we stock these in white, black, bronze brown, and plain grey at £3.50 per dozen, and in grey-barred at £6.30 per dozen. They look really great! | ![]() |
| FLETCHING THREAD | It has taken me years to find a thread that was really
strong but thin enough not to separate the strands of the feathers when you bound them. Only in black, 27 yards for £1.35 |
| FULL-LENGTH GROUND BASE FEATHERS |
About 10" long, these are for cutting your own shape or to make wrap-around fru-fru arrows. Black, white, green, blue, orange, red and yellow are 45p each, and grey-barred are 65p each.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION "These top-quality 10" feathers are being discontinued by the makers and will be replaced by the shorter "commercial grade" ones at 35p each. We have got good quantities of the 10" top quality ones in stock, but when they have gone we will have only the commercial quality ones. If you want to cut long feathers to your own shape you will find it very difficult, but try sticking Sellotape either side first, cut your shape with a sharp pair of scissors, and then peel the Sellotape off. What a good idea, it's easy when you know how! |
ALL OUR FLETCHINGS ARE LEFT-WING. Natural feathers turn the arrow in flight, but it makes no difference whether you are left-handed or right-handed, because an arrow cannot turn until it has left the string and is away from the bow. An arrow has no memory. The only exception to this is if you are using a helical fletching jig, because you are then using the correct hand of fletching for the jig, not for the archer.
